Pittsburgh Dental Sleep Medicine has grown in an effort to decrease wait times for scheduling our patients and to create a more convenient geographic distribution of our providers. Dentists invited into our network will be limited to a select few dentists who have a serious commitment to dental sleep medicine and are dedicated to making it an important part of their practices. We strongly believe that a limited number of seriously dedicated dental sleep medicine providers can better serve the Pittsburgh area than the vast array of newcomers that are appearing.
Each associate dentist is personally trained by me in leading-edge clinical concepts and state-of-the-art practice methodology. Each is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, will qualify for National Office Accreditation and become Board Certified in Dental Sleep Medicine. Each dentist will be fully in network with all insurance companies including Medicare. No peripheral technology will be utilized that is not medically necessary and strict adherence to medical protocol as espoused by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine will be practiced. Teamwork is paramount and effective working relationships with sleep specialists, PCPs, surgeons, cardiologists, endocrinologists, etc. will be maintained as always.
Pittsburgh Dental Sleep Medicine has pioneered oral appliance therapy for the treatment of sleep disordered breathing in the tri-state area over the past two decades and has treated over 7,000 patients. As the demand for oral appliance therapy increases, our network will stand at the forefront to provide effective, practical solutions in coordination with our medical community.
